How keys reach a buyer

Choose where they come from
A text or CSV file of up to 10,000 keys, handed out in the order you uploaded them, or keys made here in a shape you set, like STUDIO-7K2Q-9XFD-M3PL.

They see their key on the thank-you page, in their confirmation email and in their list of purchases.

Your software asks
A public address answers whether a key is valid, revoked or unknown, and nothing about who bought it.
What it takes care of
- Never given twiceTwo buyers paying in the same moment get two different keys, and a key uploaded twice is handed out once.
- Keys people can typeMade keys leave out the characters people confuse, like 0 and O, and are long enough that nobody guesses one.
- A warning before you run outAn email when the pool runs low, at 20 keys unless you choose another number. When it is empty, the product shows as sold out.
- Revoke and restoreA key given for a payment refunded in full is revoked by itself within about five minutes, and you can revoke any key by hand. Restore it if you change your mind.
- Who has which keyYour studio shows every key given, to whom and for which sale.
- Nobody left without oneA buyer who paid at the moment the last key ran out is not left with nothing: the next keys you upload go to them first, by email.
What it does not do
- Paid one-off products only: not memberships, calls or courses.
- No activation or seat counting. The check says whether a key is good; your software decides the rest.
- Revoking is a record your software has to ask about. Nothing here can switch off a copy that never checks.
- Up to 10,000 keys waiting in one product's pool.
Questions about license keys
How does my software check a key?
It asks /api/store/licence with your store's address, the product and the key, and gets back valid, revoked or unknown. It can be called from a website or an app, up to 120 times a minute from one connection.
Can I use keys my own system already made?
Yes. Upload them as a text or CSV file. A key that was already uploaded is skipped, so it can never go to two buyers.
