Live events

Live events inside your community

A workshop, a Q&A or a coworking hour for your members. They RSVP in the community, get a reminder, and join from the event's page: in a private video room shown right in the page, at your own meeting link, or in a Google Meet made on your Google Calendar. The way in shows 15 minutes before the start, and only to members who may come.

Working todayOn the $29 plan, and on Pro

From the studio to the room

  1. 1

    Schedule it

A title, a few words about it, a start in your time zone and a length from 15 minutes to four hours, up to a year ahead. Announce it in the feed if you want to.

  2. 2

    Members RSVP

One click in the community takes a place, and one gives it back. Each member sees the time in their own time zone, and can add it to their calendar.

  3. 3

    Doors open 15 minutes before

The event's page shows the room or your link to whoever may come, checked again on that visit. A member who keeps the page open sees it appear by itself.

What an event does

  • Up to 50 coming upAnd up to 500 kept in all, the past ones with their replays. After that, the oldest past event makes room for a new one.
  • A cap, if you want oneFrom 1 to 5,000 places. With a cap, only members with a place see the way in, and two members pressing at the same second can never both take the last one.
  • A private room, in the pageA Jitsi Meet room made for each event, with a name nobody can guess. Members press Join here to open it inside the event's page, or open it in a tab of its own. Nothing loads from Jitsi until they press. Best for small groups: for a big audience, use your own meeting link.
  • Or your own linkZoom, Google Meet, a livestream: any https address you already use, opened in a new tab.
  • Or Google Meet, made for youConnect your Google Calendar and pick it under Where: one meeting is made, with nobody on its guest list. Members see its link on the event's page from 15 minutes before, ask to join, and you let them in.
  • For some buyers onlyKeep an event for the buyers of some of the products that open your community. Other members see it and what opens it, but cannot RSVP or join. Checked on every visit.
  • Reminders a day and an hour beforeTo the members who RSVP'd and asked for the community's emails, with a one-click way to stop. They lead to the event's page, never to the room itself.
  • Moved or canceled, everyone is toldA new time or a cancellation is emailed once to everyone coming, whether or not they asked for the community's emails.
  • ReplaysOnce it has started, add a replay from YouTube, Vimeo or Loom. It plays on the event's page for the members the event was for.
  • Your phone, 15 minutes beforeA notification from the studio on your home screen, so you open the room first.
  • Your team can run themAdmins and Editors schedule, move and cancel events; Support sees who is coming.

What creators hold

  • A course with a cohort

A weekly Q&A kept for the course's buyers, with the replay posted for whoever missed it.

  • A paid monthly club

A live session every month. Whoever stops paying stops seeing the way in, with nothing for you to do.

  • A coaching program

A group call for everyone in it, on the community's calendar, without selling each seat.

What it does not do yet

Said here so nobody signs up expecting it.

  • Zoom links are not made for you yet: you choose the private room, a Google Meet made on your connected Google Calendar, or your own link. Connecting Zoom opens to every store once Zoom approves our app; until then, the Zoom option does not show. Stan's webinars create Zoom and Google Meet links automatically.
  • With Google Meet, nobody is on the meeting's guest list: each member asks to join and you let them in. On a free personal Google account, Google ends meetings of three or more people after 60 minutes.
  • Jitsi Meet is a free service run by a third party (8x8), not by us. Nobody needs an account to join, but the first person to open a room may be asked to sign in to Jitsi to start it, so open it a few minutes early.
  • An event is for your community's members and is not sold on its own. To sell seats to anyone, sell live sessions on dates as a paid product.
  • Nothing is streamed or recorded here. A replay is a video you put on YouTube, Vimeo or Loom: use an unlisted one, because anyone with its address can watch it.
  • Reminders go only to members who checked the box for the community's emails, which starts empty. Moves and cancellations go to everyone coming.
  • No chat beside the room, no polls and no waiting list when an event is full. An event cannot be moved once it has started.

Questions about live events

Which plan is it on?

Every plan, the $29 one included, with the community. The reminders and the emails about a move or a cancellation are sent on every plan and are not counted in Pro's monthly emails.

Can someone who is not a member get the link?

Not from us. Emails, calendar files and the feed point to the event's page, and the page shows the way in only from 15 minutes before, only to a member who may come, checked again on every visit. A member whose membership lapsed, or who was refunded or taken out, loses it with the rest of the community.

How does this compare with Stan?

Stan adds webinars to its community as a product members sign up for on its landing page, with Zoom or Google Meet links made automatically, according to its help center, read on September 27, 2026. Ours are events members RSVP to, with reminders, a cap, a room in the page or a Google Meet made on your Google Calendar, and replays, with no Zoom link made for you yet.
