What it does not do yet
- Stamping a PDF discourages sharing; it does not stop it, and it covers PDFs up to 50 MB.
- Getting a purchase back needs the address the buyer paid with. If they typed it wrong, you see the sale in Stripe and can send the file yourself.
- A link you sell stays wherever you keep it: we cannot take it back from someone who has it.
Questions about delivery
How does a buyer get a file again after three days?
At the bottom of your store page: “Bought something here? Get it again.” They type the address they paid with and receive a link to a page with everything that address bought from you, read from your Stripe account. No account and no password.
Can a buyer pass the download around?
The download is tied to their order and to a short window, and the file is fetched through a link that expires in minutes. A leaked link does not become a free copy for everyone. With stamping on, a PDF also carries the buyer's email on every page.
What if a buyer was refunded?
A sale you refunded in full stops downloading at once and no longer appears when they ask to get their purchases again, because both read your Stripe account each time. A partial refund keeps both. A file already saved cannot be taken back.
